On Monday, March 12 the students of the Faculty of Engineering Economics and Management attended a bell ringing ceremony hosted by Nasdaq Riga. The ceremony was organized to celebrate the opening of the 6th Financial Literacy Week in Latvia, which took place from March 12 to 18. The aim of the week was to raise awareness and improve understanding and knowledge about financial management. “Ring the Bell!” ceremony also took place in more than 40 stock exchanges around the world in the framework of similar events, such as Child and Youth Finance International (CYFI), Global Money Week, etc. After the ceremony Uģis Kampars from Nasdaq Riga gave a presentation to the students about the stock exchange, different financial instruments and possibilities for investments.
